Pujya Sri Jagan Guruji is the founder of Yoga Vignana Kendra. Guruji can be described as a Man of Action, a Karma Yogi who combines yoga with social upliftment through Seva. He is a wonderful orator who has inspired thousands of people with his classes.

At the age of 19, Sri Jagan Guruji was inspired by Sri Rishi Prabhakar Guruji and entered into yogic world. Sri Rishi Prabhakar Guruji is the Gnana Pradatha of Sri Jagan Guruji. There is a saying that “A commoner can transform into a great person with the blessings of Guru.” Guruji’s life is an example of this. Being with Guru for several years, he has undergone several intensive training programs and became a great master and dedicated his life to Yoga.

He is a man who feels social responsibility. He says “my vision is to create wonderful people to create wonderful things.” He believes that change in the world has to come from one’s self and if you change, the whole world around you will change accordingly.

He says “to reach the ultimate goal of life, a combination of Sadhana and Seva are essential.” Actions (Karmas) decide your destiny. So, awareness and alertness are required in every action. In yoga classes, he inspires people by his speeches, motivates through Seva, purifies thoughts through meditation and transforms them into responsible citizens. By these volunteers, he is creating and running a number of projects. He stands as a role model for simplicity and discipline. He is not only a preacher but also one who actively takes part in works taken up by YVK.

He hails from Satuluru, a village in Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh which is in South India. He comes from a family of high values and discipline.

He is the second son of Sri GandhiKoteswar Rao and Smt. Rajeswari. He has an elder brother Srinivas and younger sister Radhika. He is married to Kavitha and blessed with a son Dhanvantari and a daughter Annapurneswari.
